NextGen SmartyPants Sanitation and Social Distancing Protocols

NextGen SmartyPants values the safety and well-being of you and your children over everything we do.  The information presented here outlines many of our Social Distancing and Sanitation Protocols that we have implemented at our Maker Studio and in our programs.  By detailing these procedures, we hope to provide you the confidence that our facility remains a trustworthy and safe place for your children to visit.

Social Distancing

As of their respective guidance announcements presented on May 13th, 2021, the CDC and State of Connecticut no longer recommend the use of masks, social distancing, and hand sanitizers for those persons ages 16 and up that have been fully vaccinated.  However, out of an abundance of caution and especially since we work with children, NextGen SmartyPants will continue to practice all existing COVID protocols including the use of masks, social distancing, and sterilization procedures at all times through June 20, 2021, after the end of the current academic year for most area schools.  All customers will continue to be requested to practice using masks and social distancing protocols, as well, upon entrance to our facility.

All employees that participate in any in-person programs are required to be fully vaccinated by June 20, 2021.  Requirements to adhere to existing COVID policies will be reevaluated over the upcoming weeks.

As required by Connecticut State Executive Order No. 7BB, all persons ages 3 and up must wear a face mask or covering upon entering our store.  Sanitation stations and Social Distancing floor markings are available throughout the store.

LEGO® products are available for purchase and curbside pickup via phone.  Online e-Commerce of product and automated appointment scheduling is currently being setup and available soon.

Sanitation and Disinfection

All tables, chairs, LEGO Kits, iPads, and equipment are disinfected after every use to ensure a safe and worry-free environment for all.

All counter-tops, door knobs, faucets, and other frequently accessed surfaces are sanitized multiple times throughout the day.  All floors, shelves, and facilities are mopped and cleaned at least daily.

Social Distancing signage, plexiglass sneeze guards , and sanitation stations have been implemented as required by Connecticut State Law.

All students are asked to wash or sanitize hands before and after classes.  All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment as required by Connecticut State Law.
