Our Teaching Methodology for STEM Education

NextGen SmartyPants wants to inspire the next generation to use its STEAM subjects throughout their lives, because it can be easy to just fall into conventional career choices. You could be the next sculptor, the next engineer or the next video game coding wizard if you take a chance on our program and check out some of the subjects we offer here.

We make sure our students will be comfortable looking over any task given to them, no matter how skilled they are. We want them to utilize their natural curiosity and find a solution on their own, but we can provide helpful guidance whenever necessary. Through the various classes, camps and other afterschool programs we offer, we want both kids and adults to look at the world through a new lens.

STEAM Programs We Offer

children in a classroom

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math classes are all available for kids and adults who want to make learning fun. Berlin students can come to our facility and take our weekly STEAM education classes, or we can come to their school and show them how it’s done. We offer several programs such as 3D printing, coding, engineering, LEGO building, circuits, robotics, personal finance and more. For anyone who has a passion about learning and wants to explore the curriculum we offer, whether they are the oldest adult or the youngest child, we are here to give them a new activity to dive deep into.

Berlin children and adults who want to dedicate more time to these subjects can check out our STEAM-related camps, which we hold throughout the year. We offer several age brackets for children so nobody can feel too out of place with the subjects we cover: Junior (ages 4-7), Beginner (7+), Intermediate (10+) and advanced (13+). The STEAM camps we hold are the same subjects we teach in class throughout the year for anyone who wants a hands-on experience in the field of science, technology or art.

STEM/STEAM Education Programs

Teacher Training

We have several types of projects at NextGen SmartyPants that will work to keep your child as engaged as possible. We have experience teaching kids as young as 4 to understand the complex subjects we discuss in our facility but broken down to a level they understand. They’ll be able to immerse themselves in these classes tailored to their level, such as 3D printing, coding and engineering.

Team Building Event

NextGen SmartyPants works to create fun and engaging courses for adults who want to expand their interests and learn about STEAM. Whether they learn about engineering, 3D printing, robotics or some other subject we can provide the class that will help Berlin adults find a renewed passion for learning. We also can offer opportunities for teachers and education professionals to learn and work with us, whether they want to apply our activities to the classroom or engage in their STEAM fields in a new light.

We hold ourselves to a high standard with the subjects we teach at NextGen SmartyPants. We hold classes in our facility in Canton or at schools in Berlin. If you were interested in any of the classes or services we can provide you or your child, you can give us a call today to find out more or to sign up for a class!
