NextGen SmartyPants can offer kids’ STEAM classes and camps for any New Britain children who want to take them, along with afterschool programs. We also offer technology education for professionals. We provide STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities that are interactive and customized for each person taking the course, whether they are starting preschool or are an adult.

All programs are held at our Maker Studio located at The Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton, CT, but we may also be able to bring our STEAM classes to your school depending on location.

For those interested in STEAM education, NextGen SmartyPants is your resource for classes and programs focused on science and technology. At our studio we promote the use of hands-on learning, giving our students the tools and resources needed to work independently and successfully in groups. 

Our STEAM programs strive to inspire joy in the areas of STEM/STEAM and to create a culture that fosters imagination and innovation. We want to prepare our students for an effective involvement into the society of technology regardless of age or skill level.

STEM/STEAM CLASSES

NextGen SmartyPants is meant to create an engaging environment to flourish their interests in STEAM subjects, so they can focus on what they are learning. There are weekly classes offered for various age groups, from the youngest preschoolers to the oldest adults. They are typically held in-studio or in a New Britain school. We offer many different courses such as 3D printing, circuits, coding, engineering, LEGO building, personal finance and robotics. You can sign up for one of our STEAM education classes and find your passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.

STEM/STEAM CAMPS

Summertime, fall or winter can be difficult to fill with fun activities every day in New Britain, and luckily we can provide an outlet for your child. Any kid who wants to take an interest in robotics, LEGO building, coding and other STEAM topics can check out our camp programs, which is divided into various age groups. We have Junior (ages 4-7), Beginner (7+), Intermediate (10+) and Advanced (13+) programs that you can sign up for, working to develop each skill with a group of like-minded peers.
