STEAM Classes & Camps for Kids & Adults

If you want to add more variety to your child’s life besides another sport or video game in their life, we have a place for you. NextGen SmartyPants can offer your child STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) based activities, camps, after school programs and technology education for professionals. Of course, our programs are not just for children; anyone who is open to learning STEAM can take our adult-focused classes in our studio. We work to make sure everyone who wants to learn something new will feel welcome and enriched.

If you or your child are interested in taking any of our programs, give us a call to our studio and see what we can do for you.

NextGen SmartyPants offers various classes, camps and after school programs taught by industry professionals, teachers and parents. It is used to help kids and adults  find a passion for STEAM topics, which are becoming increasingly relevant as the world moves forward technologically. We want people of all ages to start gaining problem solving skills in their lives, because we believe STEAM topics will help them satisfy their natural curiosity and work at their own pace.

Whether you are a preschooler just getting started building LEGOs or a budding robotics student wanting a new class with your peers, NextGen SmartyPants can engage you in the fields of STEAM in Southington schools or in its Canton location. 3D printing, coding, circuits, engineering, personal finance and more are offered so you can feel comfortable going at your own pace.

NextGen SmartyPants offers several summer camps that can be used instead of the conventional class format. LEGO building, robotics, coding and more can be given the time to really dig into them in-depth, so you can give your child the best possible learning experience a summer camp can give you. It is divided into 4 age brackets: Junior (ages 4-7), Beginner (7+), Intermediate (10+) and Advanced (13+).

STEM/STEAM Education Programs

Teacher Training

We tailor every course a Southington child can take through NextGen SmartyPants based on school grade and age they are at. Are they wanting to get a leg up on a high school science fair? Did they want to build the best robot in their class? Regardless of what they are coming in for, we offer several programs for elementary schoolers, middle schoolers and high schoolers to enjoy in their schools or at our Canton facility. They can explore topics like 3D printing, robotics, coding and engineering through us.

Team Building Event

Southington adults who would like to learn about STEAM can come to our facility and take some of our adult-focused courses. NextGen SmartyPants offers several types of activities that can be fun and engaging to learn about, such as engineering, 3D printing and robotics. We also have plenty of teachers and education professionals who want to work with the next generation of students or would like to pass their skills and advice down to other people. They can also observe what types of activities we offer and can help teachers apply it to their own classrooms.

STEAM education is becoming more and more important to instill in the youngest generation, as we become more and more reliant on technology in our daily lives. NextGen SmartyPants can provide the classes, camps and other after school programs for you or your child to engage in at our Canton facility or in your Southington school if you give us a call today and sign up.
