Our Teaching Methodology for STEM Education

NextGen Smartypants is dedicated to inspiring children and adults in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and Math (STEAM). Our team of educators provide the building blocks for a solid foundation to succeed in a world driven by technology. With a hands-on learning approach, our classes and camps offer the chance to develop new skills and independence when solving problems and gaining confidence.

Through our teaching methods, we are able to help students develop fluency in science and engineering concepts while fostering natural curiosity for topics that may not be discussed in a schools curriculum. The skills learned in our classes can later be valued in the workplace, college or beneficial in any of their future plans.

STEM/STEAM CLASSES

NextGen SmartyPants has served Torrington for years with STEAM classes meant for both children and adults. There are engaging curriculums designed around robotics, engineering, LEGO building, personal finance, coding, 3D printing and more, designed for any age group. Kids can compete to build the biggest spaceship while adults can create a 3D printed sculpture for the very first time. The classes are weekly STEAM education classes served at schools in the Torrington area or in-studio, which will inspire people to learn the fundamentals of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.
