NextGen SmartyPants is moving! Our new address beginning January 1, 2024 is:

NextGen SmartyPants is moving on Friday, December 29, 2023.  We will be closed that day and during the weekend in order to complete the move. We will reopen on January 2, 2024 for normal business hours.

For certain logistical reasons, our NextGen SmartyPants sign on the front of our current building will be moving on Friday, January 5. 2024.  We apologize, in advanced, for any confusion this may cause and will do our best to publicize our notification both at the old and new places!

All Winter Break Recess Camps on December 26th, 27th, and 28th will continue to be held at our current location at The Shoppes at Farmington Valley as originally planned.

The last day of our In-Studio programs for the Fall-2023 Semester is Friday, December 23, 2023, so there should be no classes in session during the weekend of December 29, 2023 through January 1, 2024.

Our Winter-2024 In-Studio Semester programs begin Thursday, January 4, 2024.  These and all programs going forward will be held at our new location at 219 Albany Turnpike.  This includes, all After-School Enrichment Classes, Birthday Parties, Camps during Martin Luther King Jr., Spring Break Camps, Summer Break Camps, etc. The dates, days of the week, and class times will remain the same as originally planned; just the location will be different.

All In-School After-School Enrichment Classes, Robotics Teams, and all other destination-based programs are not expected to be impacted by our move.

This move is obviously a big step in the history of NextGen SmartyPants since we started in July 2016.  Our founder, Paras Patani operated NextGen SmartyPants out of his home near Farmington Ave and Quaker Lane Road in West Hartford from 2016-2018.  Since we are a non-profit, The Shoppes at Farmington Valley generously offered premium retail space on a temporary basis at a price that we could afford. While our original plan was only to stay perhaps 6-12 months, the COVID pandemic changed those plans and delayed our ability to grow.

With the pandemic behind us, NextGen SmartyPants is growing again and we are excited about our future!  215 Albany will be our first real permanent home and we are excited about us finally being in a financial position to put down some permanent roots and design the space to make it our own!

We express our deepest thanks and appreciation to Liz Ackerman - General Manager of The Shoppes at Farmington Valley, Brian Furze - Senior Vice-President at W/S Development, and the myriad of leasing, marketing, legal, and operations support staff at W/S Development that have been instrumental in making our time at The Shoppes at Farmington Valley possible and running as smoothly as it has.

To our Students, Families, Schools, Donors, and Customers, thank you for joining us on this journey. You are our inspiration for everything we do. We look forward to continuing to serve you with high quality STEAM education for years to come!
