Celebrate this Indigenous People Day with fun LEGO and STEAM Classes to keep your student learning and having fun!
All programs listed here are held on October 9, 2023 at the NextGen SmartyPants Maker Studio in Canton, CT
STEAM Classes on Indigenous Peoples' Day
In celebration of Indigenous Peoples' Day, each class will begin with a discussion of Indigenous Peoples in the United States, with a special emphasis on the five recognized Native American tribes of the greater Connecticut region:
Golden Hill Paugussett
Mashantucket Pequot
Mohegan
Paucatuck Eastern Pequot
Schaghticoke
After the discussion, Students will be asked to create a LEGO build or mosaic of their own design about what they learned from the discussion.
