Election Day

Celebrate our right to vote the NextGen way! On this special day, kids learn about democracy and the importance of voting, and enjoy a day of fun, STEAM learning!

NextGen Celebrates!

During each school holiday, we start the first hour with a discussion of the reason for the holiday. Students are then asked to create a LEGO build of their own design as an artistic representation of what they learned during the discussion.
We start each session with a discussion of the importance of Election Day and our right to vote. We discuss what it means to vote, how our democracy works, and the importance of what their Parents are doing on this special day.

After our LEGO build, Students are grouped by grade level and choose a STEAM activity to enjoy a day filled with exciting STEAM learning. Join us!

Activity Plan for the Day

School Recesses are a great time for kids to try something new.  So we've setup STEAM Exploration Days during our Holiday School Recess Camps for this academic year. During the Morning Session, Students are given an option to choose between creating a project in Coding or Engineering. During the Afternoon Session, they can choose between Robotics or LEGO Design.  Kids are then grouped together provided lesson plans appropriate for their Grade-level.
